Mural Mosaic: Town of Cochrane Community
I am just so awestruck by this mural Web site! I’m going to start you off right where I stumbled in at. Each tile is a picture all by itself and put together, they make an amazing mural!
If you click a square, you’ll be taken to that tile's page, where you will learn all about who made the tile, what panel number it is and you’ll be able to see that square up close and personal. Some of them even list the medium the artist used to create it.
Beneath the Cochrane Community Mural, you will see two more murals from other communities. Below those, you can see highlights of the Cochrane mural coming together. I was sad that these images weren’t clickable and there weren’t larger versions of them so that you could see more clearly what was going on, but they do show you some behind the scenes mural action!
Okay, now scroll to the top of the page and click the Mural Mosaics logo. This will take you to the main page, where you can find the latest mural news, watch a video and head over to the mural gallery.
In the mural gallery, you will find eight murals total that you can check out the same way you did the one I started you on, including the two extras on the Cochrane page. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can start with the first mural of David.
Just a warning though, this site can be time consuming, so you may want to only check out one mural at a time. I am insatiably curious and had to click every single tile of every single mural and it took me several hours to do that. But, it was well worth it!
